Quellen & Verlässlichkeit

On this page

There is no verified Graveyard Keeper 2 recipe list yet, and this page will not invent one. The game launches on September 22, 2026, and no official source has published item names, material quantities, station tiers or crafting times.

What is confirmed is the shape of the crafting system. That is enough to prepare properly, and this page explains what you can rely on, what you should not trust, and which tools to use on day one.

What is officially confirmed about crafting?

Exactly three sentences from official sources describe crafting, and they are worth quoting closely.

The store page says you "harvest as much flora, fauna, and human remains as you can to build extraordinary machinery, automate production, and expand your graveyard for pure profit".

The second says that as the Inquisitor you "craft powerful armour and weapons" for your army.

The third says Town buildings "unlock valuable products and resources for you to buy" — meaning some goods are purchased rather than crafted.

So the confirmed input categories are flora, fauna and human remains, and the confirmed output categories are machinery, automation, graveyard expansion, and military equipment. That is the whole verified list.

What is not confirmed

Everything else. Specifically, and without exception:

  • Item names and icons.
  • Material quantities per recipe.
  • Crafting times and station tiers.
  • Which recipes are gated behind the Technology Tree.
  • Which goods are Town-purchased rather than crafted.
  • Whether recipes have quality variants tied to materials.

Any site publishing a Graveyard Keeper 2 recipe table before September 22, 2026 is either copying the original game's data or guessing. The developers were explicit that mechanics have changed — including an inversion of the white-skull/red-skull optimisation — so carrying over original-game recipes is actively misleading.

Why we do not list recipes from the first game

It would be easy to fill this page with Graveyard Keeper 1 crafting data. It would also be wrong.

Graveyard Keeper 2 rebuilds the series in 3D, adds conveyor-belt factories and semi-automatic machines, introduces a new talent system alongside the returning Technology Tree, and changes how corpse quality works. The production layer is the part of the game that changed most. Publishing inherited numbers would be worse than publishing nothing.

Instead, this page is structured so it becomes useful the moment real data exists.

How to plan crafting right now

You can still do real preparation, because the maths of a crafting tree does not depend on the numbers.

Two tools on this wiki are built for exactly this:

  • Recipe calculator — enter the recipes you discover in game, pick a target item and quantity, and it expands the full raw material tree, including the rounding that comes from partial batches. Everything is saved in your browser, so your recipe book persists between sessions.
  • Production calculator — for continuous chains rather than one-off crafts. Enter each step's output, cycle time and inputs, set a target rate per minute, and it returns the required rate and station count per step plus the total raw material bill.

Both ship with zero built-in game data deliberately. That means they cannot go stale when a patch changes a value, and it means we are not publishing numbers we cannot verify.

What to record on launch day

If you want a usable recipe database fast, capture these five fields for every recipe you touch. They are exactly the inputs the calculators need:

  1. Output item and how many you get per craft.
  2. Inputs, with quantities.
  3. Station the recipe is made at.
  4. Cycle time in seconds — time it yourself, do not estimate.
  5. Unlock source — which Technology Tree node or Town building provides it.

Recording the unlock source is the step most players skip and later regret, because it is the only field that tells you whether a missing recipe is a research problem or a material problem.

Where recipes come from

Once the game is out, expect three sources, in this order of reliability:

  1. Your own game — the only fully reliable source, and the one this wiki will use.
  2. Official channels — the Steam news hub and the official Discord may confirm specific systems.
  3. Community testing — useful for discovery, but verify before you build around it.

FAQ

Are there Graveyard Keeper 2 recipes yet?

Not published. Verified recipe data will be added here after launch testing on September 22, 2026.

Do Graveyard Keeper 1 recipes carry over?

Do not assume it. The production layer is the most changed part of the sequel, with new machines, conveyor belts and a different corpse-quality system.

Can I still prepare a crafting plan?

Yes — use the recipe calculator with your own data once you have it, and read zombie automation for how chains are structured.

Will this page have a searchable table?

That is the plan. A filterable recipe table will be added once there is verified data to put in it.
